ENCOURAGE CHILDREN OPTIMISTICALLY WITH INFINITE COURAGE TO BECOME A BETTER HUMAN: TH RADHESHYAM

Imphal 9th May, 2017: Education Minister Shri Th. Radheshyam said children should be encouraged with optimism imbibing them with infinite courage to make them become a better human rather than setting limits of what they can and can’t do. Admission of a child in one of the best school by a parent, he said, is not an end to their task but is just providing them a means whereas the real need to become a better human for the child lies in their overall up bringing by the family and society. He was speaking as Chief Guest of the Annual Day Function of Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, Imphal Lamphelpat.

To be a good human, Th. Radheshyam said, one must have a good mind and body. Time spend as much as on body must also be spent for the betterment of the mind. Appreciating the different facets of the function, he said, it was really delightful to have been part of witnessing the young students showcasing different asana of yoga with diverse cultural program of the nation. The co – curriculum activities, he pointed out, are basic parts of education for overall development of the student and an ideal routes to sowed the seed of nationalism. Annual function is also a moment to retrospect and find out the greatness and weakness for any institute and plan for betterment by overcoming the weak points, he added.

Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Minister Shri Karam Shyam said to provide the best and safeguarded the future of youths, education system needs to be properly planned to make it job oriented so that the issue of unemployment faced by today’s generation won’t be repeated in the future. For better and strong state, the minister said, knowledge with relentless efforts and support from all sections of the society are a must to make one able to have the courage to take the right decision. Emphasising on the need to have well educated and cultured leaders, he encouraged, the students to equip themselves with best knowledge through education and gain overall development to become leaders the one who can bring a positive change by doing what is right and the best for the society.

Congratulating the school for numerous achievements and great performance in co – curriculum activities Principal Secretary (Education – S) Shri Vineet Joshi, who is also the Chairman of Vidyalaya Management Committee, said, performance of students in such function helps them in building confidence, how to behave and in tackle any situation in groups.

Today’s Annual Day Function was attended by the students, staffs and parents. (DIPR)
