MINISTER NEMCHA REACHES OUT TO KPI EARTH CRACK AND FLOOD AFFECTED VICTIMS

KANGPOKPI, 13th June, 2017 (DIPR): Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister and Local MLA, Smt Nemcha Kipgen today visited the earth crack and flood affected areas in Kangpokpi District.

Minister Nemcha rushed to the flood affected Kalapahar areas and visited the relief camp that was set up today morning at Kalapahar Government High School. She distributed various relief materials like rice, dal, pulses and financial assistance of Rupees Thirty thousand that was handed over to the Chairman of the relief camp. It may also be mentioned that emergency Medical camp was also set up at the venue. IFCD Minister Shri Letpao Haokip, Parliamentary Secretary H. Dingo Singh and his team too joined the visits to Kalapahar area.

Nemcha Kipgen also visited Kalikhola Relief Camp at Goma Devi Government High School where around 4-5 families were presently staying there. She distributed various relief item and essential commodities like rice, pulses, dal, to name some.

Addressing the people in the relief camps, the Minister assured all possible help for the affected people from the government side and urged them not to panic at the present prevailing situation. An old lady at the relief camp expressed gratitude towards the noble act of the Minister in personally visiting the location and extending every possible help.

On the way back, the Minister also visited Liyaikongpao and make sure that the situation in is under control.

The Ministerial team includes Principal Secretary (Cooperation) and Kangpokpi District In-charge, Shri P. Vaiphei, IAS, DC, Kangpokpi Shri Ranjit Singh and ADC members.(DIPR)
